The first FX-3 Installation in Europe at M.E.C. srl in Italy

Il Sig. Cartella, titolare di MEC

The FX-3, new Super High-speed Mounter of JUKI, was presented in Italy for the first time at the BIAS exhibition in Milan, which was held from 27. to 30. May and has attracted wide interest from Italian customers. The machine was sold directly from the show to M.E.C. srl., a loyal JUKI customer from the Brescia region. It was delivered right after the exhibition and installed during the first week of June.

M.E.C. started their activity in the SMT assembly business in 1982. With a team of approximately 35 employees, M.E.C. have built up their reputation as a widely known and high quality subcontractor in the electronic business.
In 2002, M.E.C. introduced the first JUKI machines in their production and since then the machine park has grown to a considerable number of eight machines. The determining factor for the loyalty towards JUKI was clearly the absolute reliability of the machines, as well as the proximity of JUKI’s local distributor Prodelec S.p.A. in Milan.

“Based on my experience with the earlier JUKI machine models, I had absolutely no concerns to be the first FX-3 customer in Europe” says Diego Cartella, the owner of the company. “The FX-3 is now in full production for three months and it has shown exactly the same famous JUKI reliability than the other models. I was also impressed by the high placement rate obtained on our boards. My next step might be the investment in a new line including intelligent feeders and traceability.”
