With the JX100LED, JUKI offers a machine with an extraordinarily good price/performance ratio. This attractively priced entry level machine combines high production capacity, versatility, consistent quality and ease of use.

The JX100LED is the perfect choice for companies who are just entering the SMT placement sector and is ideal for low cost LED placement. It is easy to use, compact and quick to install. Furthermore, the JX100LED impresses with its user friendliness and offers inexperienced users basic programming in the ‘Special Simple Mode’. The operator is guided through the single programming steps and their work is further simplified by the graphical surface and touch-screen interaction.

Due to the ban on light bulbs, which become fully effective in the EC from September 1st 2012, alternatives are in high demand. Besides the standard energy saving bulbs more and more the light emitting diode (LED) is emerging as another energy-saving, and at the same time efficient, technology. This emerging trend for LED technology is appearing in many different applications including the fields of TV or laptop backlighting, light bands, lamps and car illumination.

Many of these LED applications require large circuit boards. JUKI is highly experienced in this field and can offer proven solutions. Apart from the JX100LED, which can process boards of 800 mm x 360 mm as a standard, the portfolio also offers an option which makes it possible to place boards up to the incredible size of 1,200 mm x 360 mm. Several special nozzles for LED placement are also available.

The JX100LED uses the proven JUKI Laser Align System, which picks and places without using a rotary head. This is evidently the most reliable solution for placing even complex and critical LED components at high rates without any problems.

LEDs are typically classified by their brightness. In order to assure the uniformity of the end product, some applications require the proof that all LEDs placed on a board are of the same class. The standard function „LED class check (BIN Code)“ counts all LEDs on each feeder and gives out a warning if there are not enough LEDs remaining to finish the board.

Specification Overview:

• Compact, cost-effective model using JUKI’s core technologies
• Top JUKI machine quality, which is normally only available with much more expensive systems. The
JX100LED for example has a cast base frame
• Ideal for entry level, prototype assembly and LED batch production
• Placement rate: 15‘300 cph according IPC 9850
• Components: 0201 to 33,5 x 33,5 mm
• Placement accuracy: ± 50 µm
• All feeders and nozzles compatible with all other current JUKI models

The JX100LED will be available in Europe from March 2011.

Over recent years JUKI machines have been equipped with the very highly reliable mechanical feeders to ensure a stable component feeding process. JUKI is now taking their feeders to the next level and we are proud to introduce the new electrical feeders (ETF) which allow even more flexibility and speed. These feeders are compatible with the Super High-speed Mounter FX-3 as well as the new IC placer KE-3020.
On the FX-3 you can mix mechanical and electrical feeder trolleys to run a mixed environment to get maximum flexibility and follow JUKI’s philosophy of lowest cost of ownership.
The brand new design of the ETF includes some enhancements which will gain speed, flexibility for more component capacity as well as advanced feeder handling.

• Motor driven ETF can feed sensitively for ultra small components, running both steadily and fast
• Change the feed pitch on the feeder by using the appropriate buttons
• Feeder status shown on display by lighting of LED and seven segment LED
• LED shows feeder positions when running the machine 12mm feeders are the same size as 8mm feeders, enabling you to put more 12mm on a feeder trolley
• No need to stop the machine to replenish components when using the splicing function!
Reduce down time! You can easily replenish components anytime!
• You can change any tape feeder safely while still running the machine
• Automatic corrections of feeding pick position on the feeder itself. Component centering variance will be communicated to each of the feeders and will correct pick positions for stable pick and therefore increase the opportunity to pick simultaneously
• Referring to the production programme ETF will issue a warning when a wrong feeder or wrong pitch is detected.
Feeder operation panel will show an alert for a wrong feeder or for one running low on components
• Also available for the feeder intelligence system IFS-X2

This is the next generation of pick and place machine in JUKI’s Flexline premium segment.
The new KE-3020 incorporates JUKI’s well known reliability as well as new technologies which were introduced on the FX-3 from the Flexlinevelocity segment. This includes the machine design, which is taken from the FX-3.
Following the Lowest Cost of Ownership philosophy the KE-3020 is fully compatible with previous machine types, including feeders and nozzles. This ensures that investments from the past are also long term investments for the future, which, in this current economic situation, is more important today than it has ever been.

The KE-3020 is equipped with the very user-friendly extra large operation and information 15“ touch LCD screen. There is no need for any additional keyboard or mouse to operate machine. With the Split Image it is also possible to show the camera and machine information at the same time.
The enhanced JUKI user interface allows the creation of a pick and place program in an intuitive way for fast and error free programming.

The KE-3020 can be quipped with very reliable mechanical feeders, which have an enormously high reputation in the field, as well as the brand new electrical ETF feeders. The feeder trolleys can be switched from mechanical to electrical and back again according to the production requirements.
The electrical feeder trolley can also be equipped with the new tape cutter option.

The KE-3020 is equipped with the six nozzles laser align head well known from the KE-2070, KE-2080 and FX-3. The LNC60 laser align sensor has the capability to measure six parts simultaneously and offers higher accuracy with the use of a powerful new algorithm and a simple and robust structure. The sensor includes an internal control system and, by communicating with the main CPU via IEEE1394, cabling is also minimised.
In addition, the KE-3020 has a standard IC head for fine-pitch components and a wide parts handling range from 01005 placement capability (0402 in metric) up to 74 mm square components or 50 x 150mm.

The KE-3020 updates the Flexline premium segment for a perfect fit with the FX-3.

The system will be available starting Q3 2010

Corrosion of electronics has to be considered as a realistic threat as result of the development of complex components with closer spacing.
With such close spacing extremely low levels of corrosive contaminants can lead to failure.
However coating an electronic assembly can protect the product against corrosion.
In the past coating of PCB’s was mainly used in high-tech application, but because of the increasing demand of electronic components in all kind of today’s equipment, the advantage of coating PCB’s became very obvious.
A coated PCB is protected against environmental influences and protects the components against chemicals, moisture, corrosion and mechanical load.

Coating a PCB can be done in many different ways. Many companies still use the “old fashion ways” of coating like dip coating, manually spraying and even a pencil or paint brush.
These ways of coating a PCB are not considered to be very consisted, reliable, cost effective or environmental friendly. Therefore DIMA developed a complete new range of selective conformal coating systems.
These systems range from a complete set of dispensing valves up to motion systems that will provide the most consistent, reliable and cost effective way to coat a PCB.
There are different dispense valves for low-, medium- and high viscosity fluids. Furthermore DIMA developed an unique spray valve.
The extended spray nozzle of this valve has a very slim design that will enable spraying in between high components.
All DIMA valves are fully air actuated providing the best possible dispense on/off control.
The DIMA dispense valves can easily be integrated into the DIMA motion systems.
The valve controls are integrated into the DIMA motion systems, or can be ordered seperately.
The range of motion systems start with a bench top solution, but also consists of stand-alone or fully Smema compatible in-line machine.
All the DIMA motion systems are utilised with a camera for easy programming.
Compared to many systems in today’s market an operator doesn’t have to stick its head inside the machine to create a program. He can literally turn his back to the machine while programming it.
The DIMA motion systems will have dedicated software that will enable any operator to easily determine areas for coating and areas that should stay protected from coating.
Depending on the type of motion system DIMA will have several option available. Among these options are: a 4th and 5th motion axis for dispensing in corners and underneath components, the possibility to mount up to 4 different dispensing valves per machine, an automatic fiducial recognition and cor-rection system, an automatic needle height and XY-offset detection system and off-line programming software.

Standard odd-form components as well as special applications need to be placed in a simple and easy way with maximum efficiency and productivity.

IPTE (Integrated Production and Test Engineering) has designed a highly efficient odd-form mounter of a special class. At the heart of these systems is a novel assembly head providing extremely high application flexibility. This head can be used to automatically assemble almost every odd-form part, for example, from power resistor to transformer.

The modular structure of the IPTE odd-form placers meet customers‘ requirements for a fast and efficient change of products. Flexibility is ensured through the modular construction of the unit construction system. According to customers requirements IPTE can integrate a Cartesian or 4 axis scara robot, thus providing fast and efficient placement off the components. Product changes can be swiftly and easily carried out with software support.

For ORPRO Vision, 2009 has been a year of foundation. The history of our activity goes back 12 years, to 1997 when Orbotech created the Assembly AOI division with the acquisition of Schuh GmbH. Orbotech consolidated the business until the acquisition by ORPRO Vision. This infuses ORPRO Vision with a unique combination of start-up spirit and market leader experience. The year 2009 has been an economic challenge for everyone. Many segments of our industry have been deeply affected by the global financial crisis. Founding a new company in such a difficult situation has been a challenge inside the challenge, but also a great opportunity to prove who we are and what we can offer to our customers. The extraordinary and partly unexpected volume of people visiting us at Productronica in Munich and at SMTAI in San Diego confirmed that our customers confidence in our post-paste and post-reflow inspection systems increased. R&D is at the heart of our activity. ORPRO Vision is part of a holding of established distribution companies in all aspects of electronics production, from printing to soldering. This depth of experience across the group informs our R&D, with developments driven by integration of AOI technology in the production line. ORPRO Visions development plans and products include not only inspection systems, but flexible, scalable, integrated solutions to satisfy the needs of todays, and tomorrows, production line. Our solutions and developments help our customers achieve high yields and top quality results. Our focus for 2010 and onward, is to develop a brand new concept of inspection. The new platform has been conceived to manage any future ORPRO Vision system, and to be capable of inspecting any technology in the electronics application field. This project is driven by simplicty, ease-of-use, process speed and easy programming. Current products will be improved by new software releases on an ongoing basis. A new Bench-Top system, the first system out of the new platform project, which was shown in Prototype at Productronica and SMTAI, will be implemented and officially released in the coming year. Our Sales and Service structures will be further strengthened through 2010 with the addition of new distributors in Europe and the Americas, to guarantee the support customers expect.
